The Elephant in the Room was originally captured in colour, but we decided that a monochrome palette would enhance the majestic presence of this striking pachyderm, lending a moody contrast to the gentle giant. This photograph of The Elephant in the Room was taken at Londolozi Private Game Reserve in January 2023.

Resembling fiery dragons locked in an eternal battle over a prize, the "Fighting Dragons of Ara" or Firebird nebula graces our Southern skies in the late summer and is visible to the naked eye in an area with little to no light pollution. The amazing colours in the image are not visible to the human eye and only reveals itself once hundreds of images are stacked and processed with astro processing software.
