Description
The “Hubble Palette” processing technique used on this image enhanced the stellar gas and dust in this amazing nebula. IC2944 or also know as the “Running Chicken” nebula is another Southern hemisphere object and is situated in the constellation Centaurus. Learn more about this quirky nebula.
This image was captured using our astrophotography equipment, which includes a Skywatcher Evostar 72 ED refracting telescope and the popular Celestron Advanced VX tracking platform.
We used the ZWO ASI294MC PRO one-shot color camera to capture this image, and the entire system is controlled via the ZWO ASIAIR, which is based on a Raspberry Pi platform.
Stacked, and stretched using SIRIL astro-processing software, with finishing touches applied in Photoshop.
