Telescope Training

Description

We offer telescope training sessions on all Celestron telescopes and products. Training is hosted at your house or if you don’t have a clear view of the night sky, training can be hosted at our observation deck in North Riding.

During the summer months, cloud cover and inclement weather can significantly affect booking availability. For more details, please refer to our FAQs or feel free to contact us directly. When making a booking, kindly keep this in mind.

The session starts with unboxing if you haven’t done so already. Assembly and accessories are discussed and then we discuss start up and alignment procedures. The telescope training sessions usually run for about 2 hours or until you can successfully start and align your telescope. We also offer a back up service via WhatsApp and are always available for tips and advice. For more info follow this link and read about the successful training we have offered before.

Training for ZWO Astrophotography products is available and we can assist in selecting the best solution for your needs. Training covered in the sessions are assembly of your imaging rig, setting of start up and full tutorial on the SWO ASIAIR. Other astronomy software can also be covered if you do not use the ZWO ASIAIR. Please fill in a contact form for pricing.

How to book:

The training schedule usually does not have any bookable dates as we fit in with your schedule. Training sessions can be arranged during the week and on weekends if it does not clash with our stargazing experiences. If you want to see what you can expect when buying a telescope please book a stargazing experience for the family to enjoy the night sky and to see some of our telescopes in action.

Note on the Weather:

For optimal telescope training, clear skies without haze are necessary. When booking, please have alternative dates ready, as we cannot guarantee perfect results if skies are not clear. Successful telescope alignment requires visible stars, whether for the Celestron Starsense or Celestron Nexstar computerized telescope series. This also applies to all other telescopes, manual, automatic and other brands.
